GRP achieves this by:
At the heart of everything we do is a deep commitment to youth empowerment in agriculture. We believe that the future of farming depends on the energy, creativity, and leadership of young people. GRP provides youth with practical training in agroecological methods, from composting and soil restoration to water harvesting, seed saving, and sustainable crop production.
But we don’t stop at the field. Young people are also supported in agribusiness development. Through farmer field schools, knowledge exchanges, and community projects, we are nurturing a new generation that sees farming not as a last resort, but as a future of possibility, pride, and purpose.

Green Riverbend Programme is committed to transforming food systems through agroecology, equity, and community-driven solutions. We amplify the voices of small-scale farmers, advocate for policies that ensure sustainability and justice, and empower communities to build resilient, inclusive food networks. Through strategic dialogues, grassroots action, and global collaboration, we work to create a future where food systems nourish both people and the planet.

FoodieBasket is an innovative fresh produce marketplace designed to give smallholder farmers direct access to consumers. Unlike traditional market intermediaries, FoodieBasket allows farmers to set their own prices and sell their goods without needing to produce in bulk, ensuring more inclusive and equitable market participation.
Through our Retail Hub, farmers can reach households and consumers directly, reducing food waste, increasing income for growers, and giving communities access to fresh, locally grown produce. FoodieBasket strengthens the local food system by making it shorter, fairer, and farmer-centered.

Riverbend Farming Enterprise is GRP’s hands-on farming demonstration entity, practicing mixed farming that includes both livestock and a wide variety of vegetables. Specializing in leafy greens, as well as yellow, red, and purple varieties of fresh produce, Riverbend integrates agroecological practices into every stage of its operations.
The farm serves not only as a production unit but also as a learning ground for farmers and youth, showcasing best practices in sustainable land use, animal care, and crop diversity. All produce from Riverbend is sold through FoodieBasket, reinforcing our circular model where training, production, and market access are interconnected.
