Green Riverbend Programmes is one of the region’s few community-led demonstration farms, combining mixed farming, agroecology, farmer training, and market access to grow healthy food and stronger communities.

Founded in 2017 by Tandi Hopa, Riverbend Farm was born from a vision to tackle poverty and food insecurity in her community through sustainable agriculture.
What began as a community-led farm has since grown into a thriving ecosystem. Alongside producing fresh fruit and vegetables, Grade A eggs, and naturally raised cattle and sheep, Riverbend expanded to include FoodieBasket, providing market access and doorstep delivery of fresh produce, and Training Programmes, equipping aspiring farmers with practical agroecology skills.
Together, these three pillars are making fresh, affordable food more accessible while creating opportunities, supporting local livelihoods, and building stronger, more resilient communities.
